Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with at least four years of professional experience to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist in medical procedures, and educate patients and families about ongoing health management.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Patient Care & Assessment:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, record medical histories, and document care plans.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed.
✅ Clinical Duties:
- Assist in minor surgical procedures, wound care, and emergency response.
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and maintain proper hygiene standards.
✅ Education & Support:
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients in distress.
✅ Record Keeping & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of medical care.
- Adhere to Malawi Medical Council regulations and professional nursing standards.
✅ Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with doctors, therapists, and healthcare staff to provide holistic care.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
✔ Registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMC)
✔ Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
✔ Minimum 4 years of nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or community healthcare setting
✔ Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care, and health education
✔ Ability to work independently and within a team
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) is an added advantage
